May had broken off the conversation with the two Japanese guys when Molly finished breakfast, immediately jumping up to help set up and find plates and silverware. She felt for some reason that she should have been more helpful with the cooking. But even more so, she felt ravenous.

Still, she restrained herself enough to take one scoop, making a mental note about kitchen inventory. She took the smallest bites possible, trying to eat as slowly as possible to quell the bottomless pit of her stomach. It helped, a little, but only slightly.
