Aeryn sat comfortably leaning against John, listening to his steady breathing as they rested in each others' arms. Finally, she sighed, then moved, the leather of her jacket rubbing against leather making a loud noise in the quiet of the room. "I think we should go and try to find the Doctor, John. Surely if they haven't found a solution yet, he can be spared to discuss other things?"

They'd both been reluctant to interrupt the Doctor when he'd started to help translate the books that had been brought in, but Aeryn hadn't really been able to settle yet. "What do you think?"

Rose took the picture and cradled it in her hand. "She's beautiful."

She didn't know how the Doctor was going to initially react to what she was about to say, but she knew she was going to be able to talk him into it. Might not even take much with a kid involved.

"Don't worry about the time thing. First, this island is currently six months ahead of outside time. Temporal bubble. Second, our ship is called the Tardis. Time and Relative Dimensions in Space. Not only space travel, but time as well, yeah? She can tow ships at times, or even kind of take them inside."

Materialize around them, anyway, Rose reminded herself.

"We'll certainly help with your ship as much as we can. But since the Doctor already offered to take River back to her time, and we're taking Ripley on as crew... I'm sure he'd be willing to take you back to the time and place you disappeared from."

Rose didn't mention that she'd try to get him to help track down this sweet looking kid, and help them get her back. No need to give that offer til she was certain of it. She knew she could get him to place them back where they belong. It was kinda part of what he did. But aiding in the kidnapping search depended on if he knew what was supposed to happen.

"I wish I could come with you, John" Aeryn said with a sigh. "Wish it wasn't so frelling hot out there!"

Rose had started to speak now, though and something she'd said caught her attention. "Six months? How long is that?"
