Faith's anger was actually a welcome reprieve and distraction from the feelings, thoughts and images that Ami had caught a glimpse of just moments before, particularly the images. There were certain things that she just didn't need to know, and definitely not in Technicolor.

Even more welcome was Mara's voice calling from inside. She sounded steady, of course Ami had no idea how she sounded before she went to sleep.

She turned and poked her head in the shelter, giving Mara a smile. "Good to see you up. How do you feel?"

Mara's comment of 'I want to make him feel what she felt,' hadn't gone unheard. Ami simply wasn't certain how to respond that just yet.
