Ami nodded and followed Daisy, repressing a shudder as she looked back at her body. This was distinctly uncomfortable, and . . . creepy. Ami tried not to puzzle over things like the fact that she was walking although she didn't have a body, and questions like why wasn't she simply sinking into the floor?
That reflection did make her shudder, leading to further feelings of extreme creepy weirdness as she wondered how it was possible to shudder - or anything else for that matter.
The corridor outside of Daisy's room was deserted, but there was an alarm sounding in the distance. Nothing loud and blaring, not like a fire alarm or klaxon, more like low level warning buzzer. Even non-corporeal, the noise was definitely annoying after a few moments.
The only thing *not* uncomfortable about her current physical state, or lack of physical state, was that Ami was clear headed and didn't feel ill for the first time in days. Given that, she looked up and focused on the light in the hall, trying to pop one of the bulbs.
It didn't work.
Ami screwed up her face and tried again. Similar results told her one thing that she'd always wondered about with regards to her abilities: they *were* tied to her physical body. At least the kinetic ones it seemed; the mental ones, like empathy, clearly seemed to be tied to her consciousness. It was an odd dichotomy, and something to be considered later. After they had ... well, done whatever it was that Daisy intended to do.
"We can't leave, or escape," Ami said suddenly. "Not without Rose and Claire. That's assuming we can escape at all. I teleported out of here, but I don't think I went very far. This place is as locked down as the island." She peeked around the corner, and felt silly for peeking. Like Daisy said, no one could see her or hear her.
"All clear. So far," Ami reported. (And please tell me that your plan is not the equivalent of a Ghostbusters "Get her!")
