Out for a stroll

crossing_lostrpDean watched Faith run out of the room. He knew she was a mutant with some extraordinary abilities and he was no physical match for her. So, he didn't take the bait. Instead, he enjoyed the view. He liked women in general any way he could get then, but strong women (physically and emotionally), were a particular preference. It'd been a long time since Cassie.
He strode out after her as she headed outside. She had slowed her pace so he could catch up. He quickened his in response, they were doing a perimeter check, after all.
"What took you so long, sweetcheeks?" Faith said with a grin.
"Oh, I like to take my time. No sense in rushing things you don't have to."
They began to walk around the perimiter, Faith setting a good pace. One that was not too quick so they could properly scan the area, but just quick enough that Dean knew she was looking to test his limits. He smiled. He liked this girl.
"So, when did your mutant powers first appear?" Dean's shotgun was casually placed in a posture that he could respond quickly if anything happened. He laughed at Faith's look. "I know, not exactly a good question-to-break-the-ice, but then I don't really think your the shy reserved type."

He jumped in the jeep and checked the 'ignition' quickly for traps. When he didn't see any immediately apparent, he pushed the button. It would be too much to say the engine 'roared to life'. More, it high-pitch whirred. Dean's shoulders sank. "Well, that was disappointing." But, the battery was fully charged. That was something at least.
"Well, hop on pretty lady. Not exactly the ride I was hoping for, but ya gotta love a classic!" Dean grinned.
