Methos propped the door open with his foot and leaned against the frame, thinking. A teenage girl on a remote island, raised by scientists who may or may not have caused so many weird and wonderful people to arrive on this island. She didn't look entirely happy at the moment, but that might be something to do with the fact that her home was overrun by strangers. Then again she hadn't exactly been clammering for the prisoners' release, despite one the guards apparently referring to her as "Gevalia's kid." Possessive in the sense of a test subject or daughter?
"Tell me, have you been here all your life? Are we going to have to worry about your parents posting reward notices around the island?"
There was a sense that he should recognise her from somewhere, however that wasn't unusual; far too many names and faces had been filed away in his head over the years. Not everyone stood out quite so flamboyantly as Jack Sparrow.
