When the left the bunker and hit the sun, it was glorious. It felt like a cool salve on her burning soul. Tara closed her eyes and soaked it all in. She leaned heavily on May, knowing she didn't have the strength to both soak in the earth and walk at the same time.
"I'm not picky. What spot of earth looks good to you, Tara?"
This brought Tara out of her reverie and she opened her eyes. She saw similar looks on Ami and Rose. No, humans were not meant to be cooped up inside buildings...even though they do it to themselves every day. Tara looked around. Her magical sight was gone, and this caused her some alarm, but she was still hopeful and didn't let it show to the others. She spotted a flat place beneath a big tree that looked good. "Over there." She indicated to May. "Then you can put me down and soak up some sun yourself." Tara would need to meditate to see the full extent of the damage she did to herself. That looked as good a spot as any to do it.
