“What exactly are my ‘or what’ choices here?” Jack brushed the back of his fingers up her arms, feather-light, stirring the hairs there. “I mean there is a whole, vast, universe of ‘or what’ out there. And while I’m not ALL talk, talking has its own innate attraction. It’s all in what you say and how you say it. However,” he started walking forward, not only invading her space but attacking it, making her step back, into the room.
A few steps back and he was in, and able to swing the door closed behind him.
He leaned in, his cheek brushing warmly against hers. She had to bend down to breath the words his breath hot, stirring her hair as he felt his lips brush the curve of her ear as he spoke. “I understand that actions sometimes speak louder.”
He pulled back a bit. “And I’ve always considered myself to be a man of action.”
He dove in for a kiss. Not some rough, clumsy movement meant to batter down defenses and filled with aggression. No, this was soft, and slow. It was a seduction of the lips. Tempting, promising. He learned her lips, testing her response, finding what she liked, and what she needed.
