Millie followed the sound of conversation to the doorway of a room that she saw was full of strangers, including a clot just inside the doorway. This, she figured, must be the cafeteria in which everyone was supposed to gather. Millie walked through the doorway, announcing her arrival with "One side! Outta the way! There are people walkin' here!"
People moved out of her way with differing degrees of haste. She got a lot of curious looks. She figured most of them were the same curious looks she was giving everyone else. The appraising "do I know him/her?" look. Or in Millie's case, the "Have I slept with him/her?" look. Embarrassing as it was, Millie had to wonder about the women as well as the men, given where she'd awakened.
Some might be due to the wet hair and generally damp appearance that she and her companions presented. Millie, Coppertone Gal and Studmuffin had taken very, very quick showers before hurrying off to find the cafeteria. Millie had had to crack the whip over Coppertone and Studly; they had looked ready to do it again right there in the showers.
The indulgent grins they gave her when she yelled at them hadn't improved her mood any. Neither did the fact that it was jealousy as much as embarrassment that prompted her to interfere. Watching them warming up had left Millie wanting to join in--and she was sure she'd have been welcome--but the notion of such a public display of affection left her cheeks flaming.
(Not that it always stops you,) a tiny voice reminded her. (Remember where you woke up....)
Millie spotted the dark-haired woman she'd woken up with just kneeling besides a blonde woman in green scrubs with bandages on her feet. Her bedmate noticed Millie, Coppertone and Studly at the same time. She waved and said, "Hey, lovers! You finally made it! Figured out any names yet?"
[Millie] I have arrived!

Millie slapped a hand over her face. "Oh god...."
