"There's nothing wrong with being a medium, Millie. It might be a bit out of the ordinary, but not unheard of. It's not like you're collecting souls for personal gain or anything." Pearl felt a shiver ripple through her. She wasn't sure why.
"So far it seems most people here have something unique they can do, or some other talent that could come in handy. It's likely we're all here because of it. I'm just not certain we're here willingly." Pearl ran her fingertips over her skirt, feeling the throbbing pain and the bandage that covered it. She was a little afraid to know.
Pearl looked to Veronica. "How did you find this place from the forest? Was there a trail of some sort, or were you just wandering?"
