Aeryn exchanged a long look with John, her innate caution making it almost seem like a moment of telepathic communication. The unspoken comments were easier to follow though. John's look and faint shrug of the shoulders meant 'Up to you' and Aeryn's faintly angry look said 'you're a pain!' however, Aeryn turned to Rose and started to speak, her voice quiet yet still impassioned.
"We were hunting for our kidnapped child" she said, before showing Rose the singed photograph. "We had a trail and weren't far behind, when the controls on our pod siezed up. That's why we crashed here when we did. The problem is that the longer we stay here, the less chance we have of picking up on the trail, which means we may never get our baby back." With a faint growl/sigh, Aeryn crossed her arms "so if you and Jack can work with John to fix the pod, I'll do what I can to help."
