Katie made it through the 'gate. Raelle saw that clearly. The botanist was the last of the Earther scientists to plunge into the watery surface of the wormhole in the great Ring of the Ancestors exposed on the arid plain. Quick on her heels, the first of the marines to reach the 'gate paused only momentarily to let off a burst of fire at the Dart screaming in from overhead before he, too, dove across the event horizon. His partner followed him through, leaving Raelle to cover Major Lorne as he pelted for the safety of the portal back to Atlantis.
