Tropical thunderstorms, the group quickly learned, were violent and intense and happened without any discernible warning.* Just as quickly the rain ended and then started up again. During the first deluge, they all crowded into the "jail" and listened to the thunder rock the trees while lightening illuminated the sky. The second deluge caught them on the walk back from the jail.

"What in the hell?" James stormed into the clearing as the very cute Brit disappeared in a flash of light and energy. The dog yelped and ran forward, sniffing and digging anxiously at the spot where she'd been. Walt looked like the proverbial kid in the toy store, right before he frowned at James.

"You weren't supposed to see that."

"See what? What the hell just happened? Where'd she go?" James halted a few paces outside of where Ami should have been and turned in a slow circle. Losing their memories in some sort of weird ass freak/chemical/radiation or whatever caused mass hysterical amnesia was weird, but not as weird as people disappearing into thin air. (People do not disappear into thin air.)

When the rescue team had left the bunker, Blaise decided to do a little investigating of his own. After hearing about what Jackson and McKay had seen--and the shocked reactions from two other women to seeing Daisy alive and well after viewing footage of her being killed (they said)--he decided to see for himself.
