Ami let Scott lead her into the dome of the co-locator, at the last minute remembering to give a telepathic warning to Megabyte so that he didn't worry about her suddenly seeming far away. Now, that she'd agreed to this, she was having about a million and one second thoughts, and not a one of them had anything to do with the technology surrounding the co-locator. Mostly, she had an impossible knot in the stomach feeling that she could not shake.
She'd known Scott barely more than a week, she was madly in love with him, she was meeting his parents ... six months in the future.
Right. That brought things into a bit more of the weird perspective, which actually makes them easy to deal with.
/You're sure they won't think I'm just a randy slag who seduced their son?/ Ami tried to make the words sound like a joke, but she got the feeling that she failed miserably. She tightened her hand around Scott's, and looked shyly over at the two people who had to be his parents.
