After he'd washed up in a nearby stream Sam found his brother sitting near the remains of the campfire. He was untying the corners of one of the garish shirts Adam had given them, revealing a sizeable quantity of small, dark berries. (Blueberries?) As unlikely as that seemed, Dean was eating them, so they couldn't be too bad.
Sam sat beside Dean, offering some of the smoked venison and rabbit he'd grabbed from last night's dinner. "Berry picking, Dean? How manly."
"Bite me," Dean grumbled, taking the rabbit meat.
"Aww. Big brother needs his coffee."
Dean smacked him in the back of the head. "Surprised you're not crying for herbal tea, you pansy."
Sam chuckled, tearing off some of the venison with his teeth. Either he was that hungry, or the deer meat was exceptionally good.
After eating in silence for a few minutes Sam quietly told Dean about the nightmare he'd had. "I don't know if it was a premonition," he concluded. "Not sure if we should tell the others."
[Sam] Morning already? (tag Dean, open)
