Freed from all attempts to be the immovable object (because that had worked so well..) Jon overbalanced as the remainder of his body traveled across the energy field, toppling backwards and landing on his rear end in a very ungraceful fashion.
"Do you always take so long to get where you're going?" George's dry voice asked from behind.
He tilted his head backwards and regarded the missing found faces testily. "You've been there the whole time?"
Damon nodded back in the direction of the barrier. "And everyone else is right in front of us, in slow motion. Taking an hour to get through though, that's got to be a record."
Jon snorted, then pulled himself up and joined the rest of the group a few yards from the barrier. "Figures."
