Isabel's disorientation had faded after the black woman stopped screaming, and she now had only a slight headache. She'd stayed in her chair, unsure of what to do as everyone seemed to have someone attending to them, including a man - the screaming woman's Scott from the way he calmed her down - who seemed to have healing powers.
Then the news arrived that someone called Claire was missing, and the man everyone was looking to as the leader of the group swore in several languages and instructed everyone who was not otherwise engaged to help search, rapidly assigning people to parts of the bunker. Isabel stood and made her way over to him.
"Excuse me," she said. "I don't know this Claire who's missing, but I can help look. If she's pregnant, she can't be hard to spot." She saw the man hesitate. "Please," she said. "I know I'm new and I know you probably don't trust me yet, especially after all of this, but I can help, and I need something to do."
