Who: Ami
Where: The Staff, Kitchen
When: Day 28, Sometime between noon and 1PM
Invited: Open to all
Status: Incomplete

Finding her way to the kitchen was easier this time around. Knowing where one is going always makes it easier to get there. The artificial lights – Ami couldn't remember what they were called, but she knew that they mimicked outside sunlight – shone brightly making her think that it was supposed to be indicative of midday. A quick check of the clock on the wall in the surprisingly empty kitchen confirmed that.

Ami walked straightway to the actual kitchen area and began to look in the cupboards and the refrigerator. Someone had started a list of supplies, but it was wholly incomplete. Ami was tempted to work on it until her stomach reminded her – loudly – of her reason for being in the kitchen.

Five minutes of rummaging later, Ami had found a large soup pot, a combination of fresh, frozen and canned vegetables, and noodles. She passed on the beef and chicken flavored buillon and instead stuck to seasonings for the water in the pot.

"Vegetable soup it is," Ami declared to no one in particular and set about cutting the fresh carrots, all the while wondering about the oddities of fresh vegetables on a tropical island.

Millie was coming to the reluctant conclusion that she was, in fact, this "George" that Jon was so suspicious of. And that Ami had written about. She wondered why she went by that name. Admittedly, "Mildred" was not a name she'd choose for herself--but "George" was kinda strange too. Probably it was a nickname for Georgia, which was at least a decent name.

So she was interested in what Ami had to say about the George she'd known before they all lost their memories. She listened closely as Ami summarized her description of Geo--of her.

Interesting sounded promising. "'Interesting' is good," George said. So did very forward and being a woman who spoke her mind. George was feeling pretty good about herself.

Then Ami dropped her bombshell. A night of torrid shagging. And everyone knew about it. Ami made that perfectly clear. And then, to make matters worse (could they get worse?), she apparently was the kiss-and-tell type!

George groaned, covering her face with her hands. The only consolation was that apparently she'd only had one person in her bed that night. She'd had to work her way up to a full-blown orgy. "Oh god," she said, "I am a slut!"

(Yeah, but you didn't wake up in bed with three other people this morning,) George thought. (With two other girls,) George amended. Although...come to think of it, would waking up with three guys have been better?

And Ami didn't have that voice in her head, berating her for her failings. (Wait--whose voice?) George wondered. Was that a memory? But the moment she thought about it, it slipped away.

She couldn't hear it now; there were no words, not even a tone of voice. She couldn't say if it was a man's voice or a woman's, or put a face to it. Or even a context.

She had no memory of it, but the message had clearly sunk in. George was a disappointment. So--slut, right? Among other failings, perhaps. Maybe that's why she was George now instead of Millie. Maybe Millie ran away from someone. A parent? Teachers? A boyfriend or husband?

Ami didn't seem to think she was so bad. In fact, before she lost her memory she seemed to like George. And she was certainly doing her best to buoy George's spirits.

Still..."Maybe not," George said, "but--waking up..." she hesitated, then lowered her voice. "Waking up in bed with three other people? What would you call it?"

Scott must have satisfied Chloe's curiosity since she set off in search of journals. That left him with a shell-shocked or stunned into disbelief doctor and Isabel the mostly-human.

/She had sex with three other people?!/

Ami's thought made Scott do a double take. He stared across the room at Ami and a scarlet-faced Millie for a few moments before he caught himself. It took effort, but Scott faced forward and managed to not comment back to Ami.

The scene his mind conjured of Millie, Chloe, Ami, and him was another matter entirely. Focusing on Dr. House banished the image immediately, and hopefully before Ami picked up on it.
