Who: Chloe
When: About 1:30 p.m.
Where: The Reading Room (aka Cafeteria)
Invited: Everyone
Status: Complete

It was good to be herself again. Very good. Chloe giggled, feeling giddy. No--she felt...high, like she'd smoked some really good weed. Which she had back in high school. Once or twice. Purely in the spirit of scientific inquiry. Not that she'd ever told Clark, of course. He wouldn't have understood.

So Chloe knew the signs. Everything seemed more attractive, more interesting. Sights, sounds, smells, sensations--especially sensations. Chloe touched her lips. The memory of Faith's kiss lingered there, a distracting reminder. She was horny as hell now and wanted very much to turn around and drag Faith into the nearest bed. And maybe a couple of other people as well.

No. First things first. "Then we'll see."

"What?" George asked, glancing at her. They were approaching the open doors of the cafeteria.

Chloe glanced at George. "Nothing," she said. "It's show time!"

Chloe stalked into the cafeteria and stopped just inside the doorway. "Attention, please! Can I have everyone's attention?" The conversations died down as people focused on her.

"You can stop researching now," Chloe continued. "It's me, Chloe. I'm me again. We've found a solution, courtesy of our friendly neighborhood Grim Reapers." She held out a hand and George smiled and waved. "So we can start sorting everyone out right away."

Chloe looked over the sea of faces. "Any questions?"

Rodney's not going to be happy about your chosen solution. Not sciencey enough.

Muahahaha. I like.

Yay! Let the switching back commence!

Oona was very glad a solution had been found. However, there was a tinge of disappointment that she had not been able to prove that well prepared or solidly known magic could work as intended. Oh, but not having to rely on that dangerous spell was a relief.

"Oh well. At least I got to start making notes in these books." Oona closed the nearest book and started to pile them by category then alphabetical order. "We should find a better way to store these than a wooden trunk."

She looked over to Willow and Tara. Oh, how she would love to have Willow's power capacity. But not her problems. "Would you like to start tomorrow? Trying to filter out the taint?"

She glanced briefly at Adam. "And would you... be interested in some sword sparring after that? We can use bamboo as simulated blades. I've not had proper practice in weeks."

Tara, for her part, was relieved. They hadn't really gotten anywhere with the research, and she was increasingly worried about Willow. If they had found a solution that wouldn't jeopardize Willow like that, then she was all for it.

"I think we should start tomorrow," she agreed, nodding to Oona. "Once everyone's been set right again."

She turned to Chloe, whose aura was bright and green-tinged and in harmony with the body surrounding it. Same with George (without the green-tinged part, but they were both set right). "Who else have you switched back so far? And who else knows about this? If we've got a solution, we should make sure we know where everyone is."

[Mayday-in-Hiro] Mistaken identity, kind of

ENTER MAYDAY

May hurried down the corridors to the smaller cafeteria, hoping that maybe Hiro's reaction was a fluke - that he'd been bitten by a mosquito or something. Still, it didn't hurt to be cautious.

She stuck her head in to see the research crew plus whoever was in George and Chloe - no, wait, Faith-in-Chloe. Everything looked fairly calm, but she didn't see Chloe-in-Faith anywhere. "Hey, has anyone seen Chloe?" That earned her a couple of what-the-hell looks, to which she amended, "Chloe, in Faith? Unless people have started playing musical chairs with bodies again in the last fifteen minutes?"

"You did? But how -" May stopped as she recognized George and realized what Chloe had come up with. She suddenly remembered that first night in the bunker when Daisy had accidentally yanked her out of her own body due to misunderstanding and a slick floor. "Oh. I never thought I'd be relieved to go through that again."

She noticed Dean was shifting uncomfortably and changed the subject. "Okay, sounds good. Could someone go find out about the, uh, the murder scene?" She decided not to dance around the issue. "We've got reason to believe that people need to get out of here post haste."

"Yeah, we're still working on that," someone muttered.

May shook her head. "Not off the island, out of the bunker."

Wow, she'd never been stared at like she was insane so many times in one hour. Must be a record.

Tara looked up from where she was helping Oona pile and categorize books. "What? Why?"

"I'm not sure, but there's enough people with - abilities - pushing to get out of here for it to be legit. Molly and River were hauling luggage when I left. At the very least, we need to know where everyone is. Can somebody who's not switched go find our Fearless Leaders and update them?"

Chloe nodded. "I told them what we were going to try. Haven't told them whether or not we've succeeded."

"I-I'll go," Tara said, and the others looked surprised. "I can at least tell them it worked."

She hurried out before anyone could protest, anxious to do something useful.

TARA EXITS

"What, you're going to pack up and leave on a hunch?" someone asked.

"No, I'm going back to the cafeteria and getting switched back," May said. "Beyond that, we need to at least account for everyone and put a game plan together. There may be people outside who need to be switched back."

((OOC: Fixed! Feel free to have someone go after Tara or be skeptical about the exodus panic. May will leave for the cafeteria with George and Chloe ASAP; just wanted others to have a chance to react.))

Methos lifted his head from the book he was studying as Chloe stalked into the cafeteria. While he didn't raise his voice at her call for attention he did glance at Oona, watching her reaction to the entrance. Methos half-smiled at the mix of relief and disappointment he saw Chloe's words draw from Oona. He chuckled out right when she said they should find a better way to store the books than in a wooden trunk, "Maybe, but they were in there when we needed them."

Methos answered Oona's question with a quick nod, "Yes, I'd be interest in some... sword sparring with you. It's good to stay in practice."

He raised his eyebrows at George when she asked who wanted to go first, wondering if she needed pointed out to her there was no one in the room that needed to be switched back. Methos hid his smile as Chloe spoke what he'd been thinking, "Nobody here needs it."

Methos frowned listening to May's explanation of how the need to get out of the bunker seemed to be legit. He moved to where Tara and Oona had been piling and categorizing the books, and considered whether the books should be put back in their trunk to be carried out of the bunker in it. As much as Methos was concerned about the books' safety he also wondered if he should be heading for his own room to collect what he wished to get out of the bunker. He absently fingered the charm at his neck, glad of the knowledge he had his sword and it with him. They weren't going to be lost to whatever was coming.

"Volcanoes," Methos repeated softly. River-in-Molly had told him how it was quieter inside the other girl. If Molly-in-River was hearing that noise she might be harder pressed to make sense of it. While that thought made him think it might be something other than an eruption they were facing, Methos imagined it did likely involve some kind of fiery explosion. He nodded at Chloe's assertion she wouldn't bet against Molly knowing what she was talking about. Methos asked Oona, "Are we putting the books back in the trunk and carrying them out?"
