Tara looked at both Damon and Molly. She didn't want to do this. She knew she hadn't fully explained the consequences of what would happen, but they didn't have time. They trusted her, and she needed to make sure she didn't betray that trust. She just hoped Damon would understand.

She had Damon focus his ability on the controls, extending them into the system as far as he could and still maintain solid control. She had Molly focus on her inner self, emotions, and what she did normally to transfer energy. While they were focusing their talents, so did Tara. It felt good to finally use the energy she had stored. It was starting to itch. Tara began to tune out everything else except Molly's energy coming in, Damon's energy and the flow between them all and the complex.

She focused first on Damon's aura. Tranforming magic energy into psychic energy (or any other energy) was not easy. That was indeed the hardest part of the task. She had to tune it enough not to overload Damon's brain. She could do some serious damage if she did it wrong. When she felt she had calibrated her energy, she forced it into Damon and along his psychic network feeling things the way Damon did. Extending his ability, extending his power throughout the entire complex. Moving at the speed of light. /Wow, this is so cool./ Tara thought, until she heard Damon call out.

He started to pull back from the pain. She had tuned it as much as she could, but she couldn't stop now. So, she used his psychic ability and Molly's extra energy to both try to ease Damon's fear and pain and prevent him from pulling back. /Damon, HOLD ON! You've GOT to HOLD ON!/ If he pulled back too soon, it would cause more damage. Tara began to cry as a part of her reeled at what she was doing to him.

They were almost done. They had almost completely penetrated the entire network. It really didn't take long, but she knew it must seem like forever to them. She didn't understand anything that she was seeing, but let Damon figure it all out. Damon had a particular interest in one area of the system, but she couldn't figure out why. Damon had collapsed to his knees, but still managed to hold on by sheer force of will. She also felt that Molly was reaching her end point, too. But she needed Molly to reinforce Damon. So, she pulled harder at Molly to help Damon. Molly gasped, but also held on. As a final act, Tara called upon her own inner strength to support the both of them. Damon's psychic link and empathic ability allowed her to help her friends through this in a way she never could before with just magic. Allowed her to even heal some of the damage her spell had done and use some of her own energy to refuel them. It would cost her.

Finally, they were done. Tara's discharge was big enough to allow Damon to override and bring down the main system. The lockdown disengaged, but plunged the place into darkness. Emergency lighting flared on while the whole system began to reset. Tara started to slowly pull back. She couldn't do it quickly, and they still weren't done.

/Damon, reengage the controls while we are here./ Damon was reeling from Tara's force. Their minds were merging dangerously close, but Tara still managed to keep them seperate. /Thank you, Molly. Thank you, Damon./ She sent briefly. They remained engaged in the central systems till they were up again and Damon could re-engage the controls for the cameras, and lock out any outside system (ie, Dharma) from taking control again.

Once that was done, Damon lashed out at her. /Let me go!/ Tara felt the brunt of his will and understood. She'd put him through alot. She pulled back the rest of the way and released the hold. She still had released a bit too soon and the residual hybrid energy arced from Tara and hit a wall socket. They all fell to the ground, completely unaware that they had been floating.

ooc: note MB, sorry, but your abilities are *severly* limited now and the use of them hurts. You have a headache to say the least and are very tired. Tara gave you enough energy to hopefully keep you going until you could rest. Also, you find yourself suddenly attracted to Molly (eep) and have apprehension around perceived men of power (like The Doctor and Methos if we see him). Plus, you have some vague memories/empathic feelings of the abuse that Tara went through from her father and brothers (mostly mental/emotional). Yes, this will all fade as you rest and recharge and heal. Molly, since you were pulled instead of pushed, you are just drained and tired. Tara has gained your Elven whimsy, chaos and love/need for nature. Tara, however, is definitely out for the count. Her features appear gaunt-ish because she gave enough of herself to prop up Molly and Damon (especially) that she's actually lost weight and is severaly dehydrated. She could use an IV, but will survive without one. Also, she's burnt where the arc of energy hit her (chest area), but it isn't serious. She's going to find herself attracted to Claire (lots) and Ami (little), begrudginly respecting Scott while still not liking him (a little, her normal feelings for him are good), and any other personality traits/memories you think she should have. and of course, any ebil you so desire beyond that. muhaha. Finally, Gaminatrix/Damon, I left a potential plot bunny with Damon's interest in one specific area of the system. Feel free to do anything or nothing with it. Sorry this was so long.

OOC applause
