Daniel waited quietly, going over the notes in front of him, while waiting for everyone to have some breakfast and get on the same page. The notes were simply a way to organize his thoughts and a list of questions he wanted to ask, systems that needed to be investigated, observations that he'd made about the prisoners and the facility.

"Okay then, I'm not seeing any dusty rocks so what do you –" Jon leaned over his shoulder to peer at the writing and stopped in mid-sentence. "Do you do anything the normal way, ever, Daniel?"

"What's the problem, Jon? Not up on your Gaelic?"

"You're writing notes in Gaelic. If I ask why are you going to tell? You know without boring me to death before I'm actually legally old enough to drink?"

"It's a precaution," Daniel explained. "Our friends here, and I do use the term friends quite lightly, have access to –" Daniel paused, then decided that there was really no point in not saying it aloud, "—Ancient technology. They might be able to read it.

"I thought about all the other languages, but didn't want to chance that they knew one of those."

"Right. Makes perfect sense," Jon rolled his eyes. He kicked out a chair and dropped into it. "So, what's the big game plan? Interrogation? Torture? Throw them to the smoke monster?"

"Sounds good to me," someone muttered.

"It looks like we're all present and accounted for," Daniel looked up at those assembled and smirked at Dean balancing two plates of food. That seemed awfully domestic for Faith, but he could be wrong. "At least all of us whom are going to be present and accounted for.

"Let's get down to it, then."

"What are we doing with them?" Damon asked. The red head didn't have to point out which them he referred to.

"Before discussing the prisoners, I'd like to go over a few other things. This is the easy stuff." Daniel looked at Rodney and then the Doctor and gave them both a nod. "The Doctor and Rodney spent a lot of time working with the start you gave us, Damon. This entire complex is under our control now and completely separate from any other systems that these DHARMA people might have or do have running.

"That doesn't mean that we can let our guard down. It's entirely possible that they are planning a counterstrike. We do have several of their people, and I'm sure that they'll want them back. We'll keep the outside guard rotations at night. The cameras do have a lens to shift to night vision and we can engage the perimeter lights if we chose to do so.

"This place has food and supplies, but we don't know what or how much. Someone, probably several someones, are going to need to take stock of what's in the pantry, what's in the storeroom and what's in the kitchen. Also, I'll see if Dr. Pierson can't take stock of the medical supplies, particularly the drugs that we might need."

No one interrupted to ask why he hadn't chosen House.

"Preliminary checks and a bed count reveal that this facility sleeps 22. I'm not going to assign rooms. We're all adults, and I'm sure you can figure it out. There are twenty beds. There are a limited number of rooms. Some of you are going to be roomies, if you want to have a roof over your head. And that's all I'm going to say about that.

"In addition to inventory, someone is going to need to go back to the garden, the tunnel, the Beach Camp and Camp Serenity, to brief them on the situation here. We have a jeep, which won't be as fast as the other methods of transport available to us, but a jeep won't physically tire anyone out."

"A jeep that has to go in two different directions. That's going to take time," Damon pointed out. "Whichever way the jeep doesn't go, I will." He didn't elaborate. He also didn't sound happy about volunteering. Given his preoccupation with finding Claire and being with Claire, Daniel wasn't surprised.

"Let's not jump the gun, Damon. We'll see what we need," Daniel said quietly, giving the other man a sympathetic nod. "Last but not least, we have the prisoners. Some of them got away, and chances are that the ones who escaped will come for their people. We need to be prepared, and before we decide what to do with them, we need to find out a lot more about them."

(frozen) [Aiden] Another day at the Office...er..compound

Aiden was both tired and psyched, and she was quite used to the feeling. She'd pulled an all-nighter fingerprinting everything she could get her hands on as well as trying to get a general feel for the place. Cameras were everywhere. Well almost everywhere. There were a couple of blind spots. She hid the evidence she'd collected in an air vent out of camera range so no one had seen her do it. Trust no one.

She sighed and knew her "shift" as it were was not done yet. She wanted to speak to the doctor(s) who'd treated the victims and the victims themselves if they were up to it. She wanted to interview the prisoners she'd heard they'd brought back as well as this girl who'd helped them do it. And no she wasn't planing on taking a nap first. Witness testimonies were shaky enough without letting more time pass.

She wished her partner was here to help, or at least play good cop insane cop with her. She smiled at the thought but it quickly faded. She was homesick.

She swallowed her hurt and loneliness as she came into the room, snapping her gloves off in the process. She turned them inside out and put them in the plastic baggie she took our of her jeans pocket. She sealed it with a piece of tape and pulled the pen off the v-neck in her shirt to initial and date the tape. Then she helped herself to a cup of coffee.

She looked over the group as she wrapped her hands around the mug.

"Good morning." she said to the group. "So where are we?"

((OOC: I'm going to place this about a second before Faith's Big Entrance since Aiden's managed to slip in quietly. With everyone staring at the door, she wouldn't have come in unnoticed.))

May blinked at the woman - oh, wait, yeah, she'd been in the clearing on the night of Let's-Meet-Everybody-And-You'll-Be-Quizzed-Later. Ann? No, it wasn't a common name, but all May could remember was that it began with an A.

She was getting up to put her plate in the sink anyway, so she came over to greet the new arrival. "Eating, mostly. Help yourself, I think the wolves haven't devoured it all."

((OOC again: Okay, my brain is now trying to escape out my ear due to the Headache That Will Not Die. Bedtime....))

Aiden smiled at May's joke. She assumed she was reffering to the overwhelming number of men. Not that it rattled Aiden, she was used to working in a place that had testerone dripping down the walls.

She looked around for something to eat with her coffee.
