ooc: not sure who's all going. so if the list Tara tells Daniel doesn't include you and you want to go, just post a walk-in.

The ladies went to the cafeteria where they began to gather some simple supplies for their journey. Daniel happened to be there getting some coffee and chatting with Chris. Tara approached the two, trying to walk without using the tables and chairs for support. She had indeed finished the rest of her sandwhich and an extra banana. It made her overfull to eat that much right now, but Molly was right, she needed fuel. she could feel the physical energy coursing through her body as she digested the food. She just wished she could feel the same about her magical energy. "Daniel, Molly, May, Faith, and myself are taking a short trip. Hopefully, with the help of a teleporter (she hoped Chris would be amenable). We need to head South and East of here to find some ley lines. I believe the ley lines will help me get my magic back." She sat down next to them, knowing standing wasn't in her best interest right now.

[Mayday] You didn't?!?!

((OOC: Random observation - wait, why is Ash drinking coffee? (http://community.livejournal.com/crossing_lostrp/57572.html) ;) Sorry for the delay, I actually had to hit the sack by 10 pm last night. And stupid me on the "bush" comment, I said I was out of it!))

"Hey, I'm a city girl," May said, grinning at Tara. "In Queens, survival skills amount to dodging muggers and stalking the wild cheeseburger."

She shook Ash's good hand, showing absolutely no surprise at the presence of the prosthesis - she noticed it, but it didn't even make her blink. It wasn't like she'd never seen one before. She idly wondered if he had to repair it as often as her Dad had to get his artificial leg fixed. Probably not, given why he usually had to get it repaired. "May Parker," she added, properly introducing herself. "Got dumped here a few days ago."

His story, however, did take her by surprise. The fact that he cut his own hand off struck her speechless for a second. The necromancy discussion went right over her head, but she did understand that Ash had stopped whatever it was by cutting the hand off. Still, it took a hell of a lot of guts to do something like that. "I'm still stuck at the part where you cut your own hand off," she admitted, alternately impressed and a bit weirded out.

Okay, maybe he was the type to need to get that hand repaired a lot.

[Ash] The hell I didn't!

OOC: Anytime is a good time for coffee!

IC: "What can I say? I'm a manly man," Ash said to May with a big ole grin. Then he sobered a bit. "It helped that I...let's just say I was a couple of cans short of a sixpack by that time. It had been a long, tough, gruesome night. And it wasn't going to get better for a while."

He shook off the memories and drained his coffee cup, then placed it on the table. "I don't know anything about spells," he said to Tara. "If you say it was a spell, fine; all I know is desperate times called for desperate measures."

"So--what time is this shindig tomorrow?"
