Who: Aeryn Sun and John Crichton
When: Evening, Day 28
Where: The crashed pod/ship
Invited: OPEN
Status: Incomplete
Aeryn walked beside John, slowing her pace to his slightly more sedate measure. They'd made a satisfying start and she was trying hard not to ruin that. She stole a quick glance sideways and it took no imagination for her to realise the look of grim determination on his face was a mirror for her own.
Chewing thoughtfully on her bottom lip, she pulled open the door to the outside, then stopped dead in her tracks when she realised how hot and humid the rain had made it. In fact, if John hadn't ended up slightly behind her, she would have stepped backwards.
She glanced up at him, a worried look in her eyes. "I don't think I can..." she stopped, aware that she was showing a moment of weakness, without thinking. It made her even more thoughtful that, given problematic situations, she would turn to John, on a whim of instinct. "I don't think I can go out in that, John" she finally finished her sentence. "At least, not until it's cooler..."

Date: 2007-04-20 02:03 pm (UTC)Suddenly and on impulse, she kissed his cheek. "I'm sorry" she whispered "But I'm trying."
OOC: GAH! Sorry, I've got no inspiration/imagination today, my posts are really short...

Date: 2007-04-20 02:13 pm (UTC)John stood still for a moment as she kissed his cheek, her lips leaving a small ring of fire on his skin and sending a small shiver down his spine. He reached out slowly to cup her cheek, thumb gliding gently over her cheekbone before drawing his hand away. "Nothing to be sorry for," he told her quietly, "we're on a mixed up crazy world with no real recollection of who or what we are," he shrugged a little, "it's enough to make anyone question everything." He pushed away from the door-jam, "I'll head on out to scope things out, you can wait here. I'll bring back whatever I find."
OOC : No worries hon :)

Date: 2007-04-20 02:22 pm (UTC)The moment passed before she could really react, but his touch told her a lot.
"I'll head on out to scope things out, you can wait here. I'll bring back whatever I find."
"I suppose I should really try and find a bunk for the night. It gives me a chance to do something."
[John]
Date: 2007-04-20 02:27 pm (UTC)John nodded, he was about to say they could bunk together, but thought better of it. They'd made progress and he didn't want to wash it away with one careless word. "Yeah okay, I'm sure one of the other ladies in this place would be glad to offer you a room with them," just so long as it wasn't one of the other men, he added silently to himself. "I'm actually bunking with two brothers, Sam and Dean, I think they're names are." He shrugged and started to head out. "I shouldn't be too long, I'll find you when I get back."

Date: 2007-04-20 02:34 pm (UTC)She feared the heat, but it seemed strange that she hadn't felt any illness as a result of the crash and trek back through the forest. What if the fear were just something she imagined; nothing more than a childhood fear or something?
But then, John had said that heat was fatal to her.
She sighed softly, then turned so that both shoulders rested against the wall, before sinking down to the floor.
