Dean watched Faith run out of the room. He knew she was a mutant with some extraordinary abilities and he was no physical match for her. So, he didn't take the bait. Instead, he enjoyed the view. He liked women in general any way he could get then, but strong women (physically and emotionally), were a particular preference. It'd been a long time since Cassie.

He strode out after her as she headed outside. She had slowed her pace so he could catch up. He quickened his in response, they were doing a perimeter check, after all.

"What took you so long, sweetcheeks?" Faith said with a grin.

"Oh, I like to take my time. No sense in rushing things you don't have to."

They began to walk around the perimiter, Faith setting a good pace. One that was not too quick so they could properly scan the area, but just quick enough that Dean knew she was looking to test his limits. He smiled. He liked this girl.

"So, when did your mutant powers first appear?" Dean's shotgun was casually placed in a posture that he could respond quickly if anything happened. He laughed at Faith's look. "I know, not exactly a good question-to-break-the-ice, but then I don't really think your the shy reserved type."

"Mutant powers?" Faith gave a sardonic smile. "Yeah, I guess that's one way to word it. Better than freak of nature anyway, huh?"

"You're saying you don't have mutant powers?"

Faith shrugged. "Depends on who you ask, I guess. Most of the time, it was just a reminder that I have a destiny."

Dean didn't look as skeptical as most. His answer proved it. "The future can be changed. Sam and I have seen it happen. Sorta."

"Probably caused it too?" Faith's question was reciprocal. She was well into understanding that not everyone on the island wanted to share their little secrets; as long as they weren't dangerous, Faith didn't have a problem with that.

"I found out what I was when I was fifteen. I'd always been kind different from the other kids, you know? Run faster, jump higher, give me a pair of tights and I coulda been a Teenage Superhero," Faith chuckled smokily at the idea of it. "Then one day, it all changed. I was out walkin' and I felt something. I can't even describe it, but I knew that something changed. I felt different inside – I knew that I was different.

"Next thing I knew this college prof was all up in my face telling me about how I was a Slayer and I had this destiny to rid the world of evil and shit."

"Slayer?" Dean echoed.

"Let's move deeper into the trees and circle around again," Faith suggested. "If they had vehicles, they had to hide 'em somewhere. Maybe we can find one. Or better yet, maybe the garage." She brushed a few strands of hair out of her eyes, switching easily back to conversational. "Vampire Slayer. There's this whole spiel about it. Something about," Faith paused and assumed her best imitation of Rupert Giles's British accent, "As long as there have been vampires, there has been the Slayer. One girl in all the world, a Chosen One, to find them where they gather and stop the spread of their evil and the swell of their numbers. She is the Slayer.

"I’m sure Verlin would love to give you the whole speech. You know, if you or I could actually talk to ghosts." Faith held her hand up, motioned for quiet. Dean obeyed instantly and Faith saw him tense out of the corner of her eye. (Good man to have at my back.) When she heard nothing she continued. "False alarm. All clear. Anyway, being a Slayer is almost a kinda cool gig. Quick reflexes, amazing stamina and strength, and a really wicked health plan."

(Longetivity, though? That really bites.)

[Faith] Looking for Wheels (tag Dean)

(Damn. Alone in the jungle with a hot, interested guy and I'm feeling the need to be all responsible and practical,) Faith mused. (The things they don't tell you about rehabing the bad ways.)

"Yeah, and with night coming on, we wouldn't Daddy Danny to get all worried 'bout us," Faith agreed. "But damn if we could find those wheels, we'd be set."

She gave Dean a very not concealed appraising glance, "Guess I'm just gonna have to wait to find a way to scratch that other itch."

It was too dangerous out here in the jungle that they didn't know, with bad guys at their back and possibly their door -- and the responsibility of that thought was so out of character for her that it gave her pause -- but there was nothing saying that there couldn't be a dark, deserted corner found somewhere back in the Newly Acquired White Hat Headquarters to get to know Dean a little better.

If Dean was game. If Daniel would let them out of sight. If the security measures were beefed up by the time they got back.

Too many damn ifs.

The tire tracks veered around a tree, towards a cleared part of the jungle. A quick glance back and overhead and Faith figured they had another good ten minutes before they'd go too far and absolutely have to head back.

She followed the trail.

Finding something is fine. No problems. I'll see if Faith can't get a response up later on tonight.

[Faith] Finding Wheels (tag Dean)

Faith let out a low, soft whistle. Not loud enough to carry far out into the jungle, but she figured if anyone was out there lying in wait they already knew she and Dean were hot on the jeep. "Hot damn, I didn't really expect to get this lucky today. . .not about the wheels at least."

Dean was scanning the area and checking the perimeter, so Faith did her sweep in the opposite direction, keeping him in her peripheral. No one jumped out at them and they ended together at the off-road vehicle.

"I'm probably gonna jinx us by sayin' that this is way too easy, but beggars can't be choosers, right?" Faith asked. She ran her hands over the hood and passenger side door of the jeep, caressing it with the tenderness and sensuality that she would a lover. Maybe more. "Now, something tells me that if our guys had wheels, they would have taken 'em to get outta here. So either, they had more than one set, and given the number of 'em we got under house arrest, I wouldn't be surprised by that.

"But that also means that our friends have another HQ somewhere."

Something about the car was off though. It didn't set her Slayer sense all tingly, so it wasn't a trap or that kind of danger. There was just something about this car that seemed different from other cars. She continued her caressing circuit, occasionally flashing Dean a lascivious smile, while inspecting the vehicle.

"Whoa!" Dean exclaimed in the midst of his own inspection. "This thing is solar and electrical powered!"

It clicked what was wrong. The jeep didn't have a gas tank – and Dean had just discovered why.

Giving a smokey laugh, Faith hopped in the jeep and gave Dean a wink. "We'll just call it foreplay."
